LoRaWAN field network
A network your utility owns. Kilometres of range in a city, meter modules that run on batteries for years, no per-device fees.
End-to-end smart water management
SuSaati brings together a LoRaWAN network that reads every meter automatically each day, a utility dashboard and a citizen app on one platform. One team and one contract, from survey to operation.
Why now?
The field still runs on periodic readings, estimated bills and leaks found days later. With a fixed network, every meter is read every day and losses become visible.
For a utility supplying 50 million m³ a year, a 5-point improvement saves about 2.5 million m³ of water every year.

Solution
Hardware, installation, software, integration and support come under one contract, so responsibility is never split.
A network your utility owns. Kilometres of range in a city, meter modules that run on batteries for years, no per-device fees.
Every meter is read automatically every day; basement meters report via relays. No more estimated bills.
Sales, revenue, customer and alarm indicators update live. Leaks become a prioritised task list.
The SuSaati app, kiosks and digital payment. Customers see their consumption daily and get leak alerts the same day.
How it works
The LoRaWAN module on a smart, card or mechanical meter sends each reading, encrypted.
Overlapping gateways pick up the packet; the network server removes duplicates and adjusts data rates.
SuSaati validates the data, analyses leaks and raises alarms.
Bills based on actual consumption, customer notifications and work orders for the crew.
Every packet reaches two or three gateways at once; if one gateway fails, data keeps flowing through the others. We choose sites through RF planning and field measurement. One gateway can receive about 1.5 million packets a day.
For difficult sites: gateways listening from different directions plus relays in metal-dense areas, relays or external antennas in basements, and a macro gateway on high ground in rural areas.
Platform
A small leak of 14 litres an hour costs one customer 123 m³ a year; across a thousand customers, 123,000 m³. Three nights of continuous flow between 2 and 5 a.m. raise a possible-leak alarm: the customer is notified, the dashboard shows an alarm and the crew gets a work order.
Card credit via NFC on a phone, kiosks for people without a smartphone, remote credit to smart meters over LoRaWAN, and automatic top-up. A sequence number prevents double top-ups; card details are never stored.
Trust
LoRaWAN data is encrypted with AES-128, with a unique key per device; gateways forward packets but cannot read them. Each utility’s data is isolated at row level, with role-based access, two-factor authentication and a hash-chained audit log. Card details are never stored.
Through the REST API, utility systems access customer, reading and payment data within scoped permissions. Billing, SCADA, GIS, ERP and the call centre connect via the API; payment and SMS providers plug in through adapters.
Signal strength is logged for every packet; when it drops below the threshold, a work order opens before data is lost. Maintenance, updates and reporting run under a service level agreement.
Deployment in your own data centre, in a dedicated managed cloud or in a hybrid model.
Benefits
Reading costs fall, leaks are spotted fast, estimated bills and disputes decrease, and collection speeds up.
See their consumption daily, get leak alerts the same day and pay actual bills, not estimates.
Gains water savings and future-ready infrastructure. Results are measured and reported from the pilot onwards.
Worldwide
The common thread: a fixed network, hourly data and a platform that works hand in hand with citizens.

Getting started
In a 90-day pilot we install and measure in two different areas, and you decide with a KPI report in hand.
Field measurement, gateway sites and meter inventory.
Installation, integration and measurement in two different areas.
Area by area, with a phased transition.
We run the network and the system, under a service level agreement.
